Wonder Woman: A Review

Wonder Woman is the greatest superhero movie of all time.

Of course, I have no real authority on that. I don’t particularly like superhero movies, and this is the first one I’ve watched that I’ve loved in a really long time. And Gal Gadot is Wonder Woman, and I’m so, so happy that it was everything I wanted it to be and more.

There was a lot of pressure surrounding this movie. It was the first Wonder Woman movies, the first movie solely portraying a woman as the hero, as well as being filmed by a female director. So, of course, this was made into a huge test to see whether there was a space for women in the superhero world.

And it smashed every expectation it could have been set.

It had a brilliant plot, fantastic twists, and incredible characters. It was beautifully paced, gave us an insight into Wonder Woman’s creation, and was jam-packed with action.

I love it. I love her. I love everything about this movie.

And there’s not much else to say really. There’s a romantic sub-plot that seems a little unecessary, but it takes up so little time that it’s barely worth mentioning. I think Aries could have been a little more intense and powerful, because he just seemed like a man and nothing more, but it didn’t overshadow how fantastic the rest of the movie was.

In conclusion, I love women who can fight. I love women who are tall and beautiful and strong and kind and just, and Wonder Woman is all of that.

All of that and more.
